Martin Kinnear (47), is a self representing artist and educator. Born in Colne, East Lancashire, he has become a recognised expert on oil painting techniques and regularly contributes on the subject for titles such As The Artist and Artist’s & Illustrators.  In 2008 he co-founded the Norfolk Painting School, and is a director of The New British Art Gallery, both of which organisations reflect his passionate belief in the growing importance of creative art to both education and 21st century British society.

His latest solo show The Painted Garden – An Autobiography in Paint, recorded his recovery from a sudden and devastating stroke at the age of 34, which has left him hemiplegic, but helped him to  ‘understand that serious illness was, for me, a quick road to happiness.’

Martin can be contacted via The New British Art Gallery or The Norfolk Painting School. He does not accept commissions.
